Another Mother’s Day is right around the corner. Last year, we talked all about how Mother’s Day came to be. As it turns out, we owe our thanks to a West Virginian woman named Anna Jarvis for the creation of Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day Fun Ideas for the Whole Family
A little bit of pampering goes a long way, doesn’t it? Rest and relaxation…sometimes that’s all that Mom is looking for. Whether you plan an in-home spa day, take her to get a pedicure, or just give her time alone for a long soak in the tub, treat Mom to some indulgence.
What a fun way to bond together while also working the body and clearing the mind! If your Mom isn’t so interested in yoga, maybe a different class would pique her interest. Zumba? Cycling? A backyard game of catch? The options are endless.

There’s many, many ways to give back, and Mother’s Day is a great time to do so. Pick a cause that is near and dear to Mom’s heart, or leave it up to her to pick the cause.
“Do. Something. Fun. with Mom” is the motto of the Mother’s Day 5K & 10K run/walk. This race takes place Veteran’s Park, and all finishers are given a rose when they cross the finish line (hint: give yours to Mom!). Learn all the details here.
