What do Americans do on their work days?

Let’s think for a second about the breakdown of the average American’s work day.  According to the graphic (courtesy of npr.org), 9 hours, 12 minutes, and 36 seconds are spent working and commuting.  7 hours and 39 minutes are spent sleeping, 52 minutes and 48 seconds are spent cooking and cleaning, and 48 minutes are spent grooming.

Though only 5 minutes and 24 seconds are spent talking on the phone, we’d like to guess that that’s because during the 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 48 seconds, the average working American is spending his or her leisure time with other people—socializing, having fun, chatting, lounging around.  And to us, that’s a great way to conclude a work day.

In your 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 48 seconds of leisure time each work day, you can do so many different activities.  JB’s on 41 has a new suggestion for you—introducing our new 9 to 5 bowling league!

The fun begins on February 5th at 8 pm.  But what exactly does a “9 to 5” bowling league mean?  This particular league is special for a number of reasons.  “9 to 5 No Tap Trios Bowling League” means that the number of pins to be knocked down in a strike changes each week.  The most in this league is 9 pins, and the least is 5 pins (hence, 9 to 5).  So, on week five of this league, you only need to knock down half of the pins to earn a strike! Let the 300 games come rolling in!

And, if you do bowl a 300 game, you’ll get 25% off of your bar tab.  If you bowl a 900 series, you’ll get 50% off your bar tab AND a free one-topping pizza!

You’ve got lots of things to do in your 24-hour day.  Which is why this league is perfect!  Unlike traditional leagues, which normally run 33 weeks, our 9 to 5 league runs for only 10 weeks.  It’s a perfect way to try out a bowling league with low commitment.  You’ll have a great time during your 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 48 seconds of leisure time on Wednesdays—and you’ll spend it with family and friends!
